Sugar Skull Lamp (Adult) #6

Handmade skull lamp cast in translucent porcelain and handcarved with designs inspired by sugar skulls and Mexican folk art. These are cast off of museum-grade resin replicas of real human skulls (anatomically correct - no Halloween decorations.) This one is an adult (female.) Soft white porcelain gives off a warm glow and eccentuates the carved details.

These lamps were part of a sculpture installation for the Ofrendas Exhibit at the Detroit Institute of Arts (Sept 26 - Nov 8, 2020)
